The program utilizes experimental learning, a highly effective combination of engaging golf activities designed to improve the understanding and retention of key leadership skills and concepts. And if you have clubs bring them. Because while improving your leadership skils, weather permittimg, you will also be coached in putting, chiping and driving by a Pro. Then playing a 3 hole scrabble before wrapping up the day over a drink.

WHY
GOLF ?

Why golf ? Though they operate in very differnt environments. great golfers and great leaders share a surprising number of inner and outer skills. We've found thatby using golf as a 'proxy' we can better transfer leadership skills and via 'body memory' these skills can be accessed instantly, even under great work place stress.

we also use golf because it fosters a sense of camaraderie in the program participants. This shared 'play shop' expirience breaks down some of the tunnel - vison and barriers naturally created by managing to one's own area of departmental goals. And finally, we use golf as it is the game and past - time of business leaders in most of the developed world, providing a lingua for executive and business development.

Each leadership skills area will incorporate a completely complimentary golf metaphor and hands on activity of dril. As a result theory is immediately connected to praxis and the mind body connect is reinforced.

IMPACTFULL LEADERSHIP

Whatever we call them - MIllenials, Gen Y or Z or the Facebook Generation- they don't want to be managed or told exactly what to do. What they want is to own the how and to understand the why. And they insist on being led.

This creates a real challenge for those who used to managing in more hierarchical environments. This is a vital and defining challenge to face; while Millennials may be the most discussed group, we see similar needs for leadership and engagement across the full range of employee demographics.

Gallup Management journal published a 2006 study that found only 29% of the employees reported they were engaged at work.

Of these employees only 59% said they felt their job brought out their most creative ideas. This means less than one in five innovating- creating new products or ways of finding and serving customers.

Other studies by McKinsey and the UK based Engage Group report similar findings and also identified a corresponding lack of engagement in management, It's not at all bad news; Gallup also found that companies with the most engaged employees had 28% higher profits.

This represents an incredible opportunity for both the bottom line as well as the ability to attract and retain the best talent.
